Many lessons are taken from the efforts of Abu Bakr (R) in the early days of Islam. Firstly, while many benefited from his enthusiasm, ultimately he was the principal beneficiary, as the deeds of those whom he guided will also be in his account. Secondly, as Abu Bakr (R) guided others toward the opportunity to benefit from the company Prophet ﷺ, we too should guide others toward the opportunities around us, be it gatherings of remembrance, or the company of the ‘ulama and mashaa’ikh. Finally, taking the responsibility of guiding others onto our own shoulders may excuse us from having to carry the weight of worldly stresses.
