In sulook, every individual seeks to progress in their relationship with Allah ﷻ through their daily routine. This progress can be amplified by encouraging others toward the path as well. The basis of this is in the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: “Whoever guides toward good is like the one who performs good.” This principle is highlighted in the example of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (R), who was quick to bring people toward the deen and toward the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Consequently, he was able to reach a very high state with Allah ﷻ, one that is only second to the Prophets of Allah ﷻ. Through his example, we too should sacrifice our time and energy in order to call others to Allah ﷻ, as the good they perform will also be placed into our account, insha’Allah.
