The season of Hajj is a time to reflect upon the tremendous sacrifices that those before us made in order to attain nearness to Allah ﷻ, and how we continue to benefit from those sacrifices. These sacrifices were a means of attaining excellence and the love of Allah ﷻ. If we also desire to become the true lovers of Allah ﷻ, we must also make sacrifices for Allah ﷻ and try our best to remove anything which takes us away from His remembrance.
