Daily dhikr for protection:
بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِيْ لا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلا فِي الْسَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيْعُ الْعَلِيْمُ
“In the name of Allah, by whose name nothing in the earth or heavens can be harmed — and He is the All-Seeing, All-Knowing.”
No human being wishes to be involved in calamities, but such is the design of the universe as created by Allah ﷻ. Difficulties are constantly raining upon this world and can be from the earth (health, wealth, etc.), or can be from the heavens (misguidance, disbelief, etc.). The Prophet ﷺtaught us this supplication and gave us one method of protection from all such adversities. Highlighted in this du’a is the power of the name of Allah ﷻ itself, and how it alone can protect one from the difficulties of this life. The Prophet ﷺ recommended this du’a be recited three times in the morning and three times in the evening.
