Background

For many years, members of the Refined Heart team have been blessed with the opportunity to travel to and spend time in the Haramayn — the Sacred Lands of Makkah and Madinah — in the company of individuals who truly appreciate its value. This experience has forever endowed us with a love for this space, and a realization of the opportunity and potential it creates for us, our families, and our relationship with Allah ﷻ. The journey of Umrah is undoubtedly an opportunity for us to make amends with our Lord, rectify our pasts, and plan for our futures. It has become a lifeline for us.

It is our desire to share this experience with our community, incorporating lessons from our prior travels and prioritizing the necessary components to create an opportunity for a truly spiritually uplifting journey. We are an organization that is focused on the spiritual development of our community, and the journey of Umrah is a perfect opportunity to strive toward this goal.

What This Is

A unique Umrah experience with a focus on maximizing spiritual growth for individuals and families:

1. Pre-trip curriculum – both educational and spiritual, with personal goal setting

2. Focused ziyarat (visits) to historic sites with site-specific advanced preparation

3. Guided reflections before, during, and after the journey

4. An emphasis on learning and exemplifying the aadaab (etiquettes) of visiting the Haramayn

5. Led by a team of volunteer group leaders with experience and a desire to serve

– Approx. ~$3000 per person

To further highlight our commitment to you and the community that we serve, please note that:

1. While we will do our best to ensure that accommodations are comfortable (and are utilizing the services of a travel agent), our primary focus will be on your spiritual experience.

2. We operate as a non profit organization and will not financially benefit from this endeavor.

3. Our group leaders’ expenses are not distributed amongst the cost of the attendees – every penny you spend will be for your own package/costs.
