When looking in the mirror
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ، اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا حَسَّنْتَ خَلْقِي فَحَسِّنْ خُلُقِي
“All praise is to Allah. O Allah, the way You have beautified my form, beautify my character.”

Throughout the day, we find ourselves viewing our physical image in the mirror. When one reflects upon its creation — the attention to detail given to just our face, along with its constant evolution — it is astounding. The Prophet ﷺ asks Allah ﷻ in this du’a that He beautifies our character with the same attention to detail which He beautified our physical form. This du’a brings to light the importance of developing beauty in our character, and ultimately to embody the excellent character of our Prophet ﷺ.
