It is part of human nature that we excel in whatever we do — this is a characteristic that Allah ﷻ created inherently within the human being. No one embarks on a goal intending to fail. We arduously strive for goals of this worldly life; however, we often feel content keeping a mediocre relationship with Allah ﷻ. We must learn to also be excellent in our relationship with Allah ﷻ, as this is the only goal that will be of permanent benefit.
