The community of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has been exclusively granted five special benefits during the month of Ramadan. The first is the the ability to attract the attention of Allah ﷻ, as the smell of the breath of a fasting person is sweeter to Allah ﷻ than the scent of musk. The second is prayers of forgiveness, as the fish in the sea seek forgiveness for the fasting person until he or she breaks the fast. The third benefit is the beautification of an abode in Paradise, as every single day during Ramadan, Allah ﷻ beautifies Paradise for the fasting person. The fourth is a special gate in Paradise called Al-Rayyan, which is specifically designated for those who fasted, and will be a source of relief and pleasure for them on the Day of Judgement when they enter through it. The fifth benefit is protection from the shayateen, or devils, as they are chained up during the month of Ramadan, allowing the believer to perform good deeds more easily.
